Senior Quantity Surveyor

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor on an exciting scheme in Oxford. The business is privately owned and operates out of several regional offices across the UK, with a group turnover in excess of 1bn. They undertake projects across a range of sectors including commercial, education, life sciences and mixed-use residential with projects valuing up to 100mil.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing an upcoming 40mil project in Oxford. As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing the commercial success of the project, reporting into a visiting Commercial Manager. You will also have a Surveyor reporting into you.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Involvement in pre-construction activities
  • Sub-contract procurement
  • Managing sub-contract packages
  • Client valuations
  • Dealing with sub-contractor variations
  • Final accounts

Key requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

  • HNC / Construction related degree
  • Have experience managing projects from initial conception through to completion
  • Strong working knowledge of both JCT and NEC forms of contract
  • Live in a commutable distance to Oxford
  • Have the full right to work in the UK
