Senior Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor on an upcoming project in Oxford. The business is one of the largest privately owned contractors in the UK operating out of several regional offices across the UK with a group turnover of circa 1.25bn. They undertake projects across a range of sectors including education, commercial, life sciences and residential valuing up to 70mil.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing your own projects from initial conception through to completion. You will be responsible for managing a more junior member of commercial staff and will report into a visiting Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

Be involved in all pre-construction activities
Manage projects from pre-construction through to final account, delegating certain packages / responsibilities to staff reporting into you
Undertaking monthly CVRs and reporting to the senior management team
Monitor the progress of junior commercial staff and offer progress support / advice

Key Requirements as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

Have experience managing projects valued up to 40mil
Have strong working experience administering JCT and NEC forms of contract
Live within commutable distance to Oxford ad be happy to commute to site / office
Hold the full right to work in the UK
