The Burford Recruitment Company are delighted to be working in partnership with a high-end independent law firm, to find a friendly and welcoming individual to be the first point of contact for visitors and clients at their contemporary offices in the heart of Summertown, Oxford.

You will be the face of the company, welcoming clients and dealing with their initial enquiries in a friendly, professional manner, setting the tone, and demonstrating the firm’s values which include surprising and delighting their clients while assisting with the effective running of the office operations and facilities.

Role and Responsibilities include:

Reception

  • Being the first point of contact for any new clients walking into reception and dealing with their initial enquiries
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and welcoming reception area ensuring reception is stocked with literature
  • Ensuring the meeting room is clear and ready to receive clients/visitors - table clean, water refreshed, clean glasses, etc.
  • Dealing with outgoing and incoming post/orders.
  • Delivering high client care, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.

Facilities

  • Liaising with suppliers ensuring office supplies/equipment, and ensuring Kitchen and bathroom facilities remain stocked.
  • Arranging maintenance and renovations, as required.
  • Liaising with security companies regarding fire and security alarms/door panels and arranging repairs when required.
  • Ensuring kitchen and bathroom facilities are well stocked.
  • Maintaining and updating funds on the franking machine.
  • Assisting the Practice Manager/Operations Director with other tasks relating to facilities and operations.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be strong and engaging communicator. You will be self-motivated with a results-driven approach, having the ability to work independently to see the task through to completion.

A team player with previous customer service experience and use of CRM would be preferable. Experience of legal/professional services would be advantageous however full training will be given.
