Exciting Opportunity: Health and Safety Co-ordinator in Central Oxford

Key Details:

- Position: College Health and Safety Co-ordinator

- Location: Central Oxford

- Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week

- Salary: 35,000 to 38,000 per annum (pro-rata)

- Contract: Permanent

Role Overview:

As the Health and Safety Co-ordinator, you will oversee and manage the administrative system for Health and Safety within the institution. You will also act as the ACOP Compliance Officer, ensuring adherence to guidelines on student accommodation standards.

Main Responsibilities:

- Manage the institution's Health and Safety administrative system

- Assist departments with risk assessments and H&S documentation

- Monitor and review H&S tasks and training requirements

- Coordinate online H&S training courses

- Conduct internal H&S audits and liaise with external auditors

- Maintain currency in H&S legislation and regulations

- Lead on H&S matters for events such as college balls and conferences

- Investigate accident reports and recommend improvements

- Ensure contractor compliance with H&S requirements

- Monitor ACOP compliance for student accommodation

Ideal Candidate:

We're looking for someone who is:

- Articulate in written and spoken English

- Organised and punctual

- Experienced in working across diverse teams

- IT proficient with MS Office applications

- Able to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines

- Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances

NEBOSH or IOSH training is desirable.

Start Date: 2nd January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter
