A world leading manufacturer of roller shutters, sectionals, speed doors and loading bays has a newly created Business Development Manager opportunity for someone with a background within the Machine Protection or Door Protection Industry. You will be working alongside a successful sales team within a specialist area of the business. UK national coverage (predominantly, Midlands and South). The company offer an impressive base salary of 55k to 60k+ with 10% bonus, 650 a month car allowance, Company Pension Scheme, and 33 days holiday.

This opportunity will be a combination of managing both existing key accounts and new business sales. You will be joining a small specialist team within the business and the opportunity has scope to progress further in the future.

As their Business Development Manager, you will grow the Machine Protection Door business within the UK in line with the UK Sales Strategy. This exciting opportunity will enable you to develop meaningful relationships with both Integrators and Line Builders to help identify opportunities which will increase quality project related enquiries and profitability.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Managers position

  • Share information across the group of companies and gather market intelligence to develop opportunities.
  • Maintain all CRM activities in a timely manner and ensure clear, proper and detailed records are maintained on all projects
  • Increase market awareness and promote the company's brand.
  • Meet (or exceed) all KPI's as set by the Sales Management Team.
  • Work with the Marketing Officer on small campaigns targeted at the Automotive manufacturing and Intralogistics market.

Requirements of the role.

  • Experienced Sales Manager in the Door Industry is essential
  • Background in Machine Protection, Machine Guarding, Speed Doors or Auto's are highly desirable
  • Technical Engineer who has moved into a sales-based role or Sales professional throughout their whole career will all be considered.
  • Excellent Account/Project Management capabilities alongside new sales.
  • Has CRM systems & MS Office experience
  • Strong presentation and communication skills

As a Business Development Manager you will receive:
