Reed Accountancy in Oxford are pleased to be exclusively working with an established organisation who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their close knit team. The role offers a salary of up to £32,000 per annum, 20 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), flexible start/finish times, free meals onsite, pension and the opportunity to learn and develop further. 

This is a full time, office based role. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for the Purchase Ledger Invoicing and associated processes.• Review expenses and invoices ensuring these are accurate.• Daily monitoring and maintenance of the Accounts inbox.• Prepare and process payments to suppliers on a timely manner.• Prepare Accounts Payable accruals at the end of the period.• Maintain the Accounts Payable ledger• Maintain audit records• Investigate any abnormal costs and prepare weekly cost of sales reports• Prepare monthly journals• Assist the Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks when required.• Providing support to the wider team when required

The ideal candidate will have extensive transactional accounting experience, ideally from a small finance function and experience in the hospitality background. You will have excellent communication skills, being comfortable engaging with a range of different people - finance and non finance. You will have a willing attitude to learn and pick things up quickly, and be able to fit into a small finance function. Ideally you will have experience on Sage and Excel.
