Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a key player in the UK's Biogas sector to recruit a Feedstock Professional for their business. I'm looking for a Senior Feedstock Manager at a more senior level and I'm open to hearing from those in the market who are interested in transitioning into this type of role. If you're not a ready-made Feedstock Manager, then your commercial acumen and negotiating skills must be excellent.
The Feedstock Manager / Senior Regional Feedstock role comes with a salary dependant of your level and will be discussed upon application.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Senior Managers you will:
- Join a small team asked with sourcing, negotiating and executing contracts for the supply of feedstock for a portfolio of biogas plants
- Engage directly with landowners, farmers and agricultural contractors to develop an expert knowledge of the feedstock landscape in designated geographies
- Devising and executing the feedstock sourcing and procurement strategy
- Key stakeholder engagement both internally and externally
- Stringent negotiation of contracts
- Identifying opportunities to scale your network and attending relevant exhibitions, events and similar to do this
- Have a huge appreciation for the commercial element of feedstock sourcing and procurement.
- Close and sign important, short and long term feedstock contracts.
- Other wider duties to assist the growth of the business as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A higher education in a relevant field is preferred, ie Agriculture, Agronomy etc
- FACTS qualification is desired but not essential
- A valid UK driving licence

The Senior Feedstock Manager role would suit someone who is:
- An excellent negotiator with great commercial acumen
- Someone driven and who will be dynamic and flexible in their role
- A consultative relationship-builder with a genuine interesting in agriculture, farming and/or green energy.
