We have just registered a rare opportunity to join a renowned research institute, working within a collaborative team to support senior business members.
The role is full time role (36.5 hours per week) and is likely to be ongoing until summer 2025. PLEASE NOTE – there is no parking on site or close by, so you must be able to commute via public transport.
This is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.
Temporary Administrative Assistant Responsibilities
- Handling incoming mail, email and telephone calls
- Researching and preparing information, drafting replies and responding
- Arranging complex domestic and international travel, including booking flights, arranging accommodation and visas
- Organising external seminars
- Reception cover, including meeting and greeting visitors
- Organising meetings, including agendas and minutes
- Maintaining databases, lists, and filing systems
- Ordering stationery supplies
- Carrying out database and literature searches for research
- Processing expenses

Temporary Administrative Assistant Requirements
- Significant experience within administrative support at a senior level
- Experience of booking complex travel arrangements
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Word; Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as Adobe
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to draft correspondence and produce high quality documents, including minutes
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently using own initiative and with minimal supervision
- Experience of working in a higher education environment, along with demonstrable knowledge of medical and scientific terminology

Our client is located in Oxford (OX3). Whilst there is no onsite parking, there are many public transport links.
