A lovely school in Oxford are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team starting as soon as possible.
This amazing specialist school look after children who have been identified as struggling with educational needs, communication difficulties and behavioural needs. This stems from mental health and social and emotional needs, which have had an impact on how these children process and regulate their emotions. As a result, these needs and challenges have had a negative influence on how these students cope with their academics.
This specialist school prioritise an inclusive environment and ensure that all their students are able to access the necessary therapeutic support. They offer an integrated and adjusted curriculum to fully support their students. They aim is to make sure all students are able to access their education in the same way as their mainstream peers.
This specialist school boast a highly supportive environment, with an in house therapy and clinical team to ensure their students are getting the best support possible!
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be empathetic, have a positive attitude and be ready to get stuck in. This setting are looking for people who are not afraid of a challenge and are interested in meeting those who are looking to make a real impact. If you have previous experience working with children who have social, emotional and mental health needs, that will be advantageous, but it is not essential.
