We are recruiting for a Housing Support Worker (Female) to join a committed team supporting young people aged 16-24 in our Oxfordshire-based scheme. You will work closely with residents, helping them achieve independence and transition to independent living.

THE ROLE
As a Housing Support Worker, you will be a keyworker for young people, ensuring they have the resources and guidance to succeed.

  • Assess new tenants and allocate beds per procedure
  • Provide tenancy support and advice to residents
  • Conduct room checks and ensure minimal voids
  • Ensure tenancies are maintained and upheld
  • Carry out risk assessments and work with external agencies as required
  • Promote resident participation in decisions affecting them
  • Conduct health and safety checks and report maintenance issues


THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone with experience in a similar customer-facing role, working with diverse groups to support housing and health outcomes.

  • Experience motivating individuals with complex issues such as substance misuse or mental health challenges
  • Knowledge of Universal Credit, Housing Benefits, and relevant support agencies
  • Ability to manage risks and work with external partners to ensure safety
  • Flexible approach, participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota
  • Full driving license and access to a car essential (45p per mile reimbursement for business travel)


THE CONTRACT

  • 35 hours per week, 09:00 to 17:00
  • Out-of-hours on-call rota, 1 week every 4 weeks (additional payment on top of salary)
  • 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave
  • 16.50 to 19.97 per hour LTD / 14.07 to 17.02 PAYE (inclusive of holiday)
