Our amazing specialist school in Oxford are looking for someone to come in as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant.

The role would include duties such as:

  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to offer guidance and support
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills
  • Help model healthy coping strategies and social skills
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and structured learning environment
  • Facilitate group activities and promote positive peer interactions
  • Collaborate with the school team to identify triggers and develop proactive approaches to behaviour management

Qualities you need to have to be a Mental Health Teaching Assistant:

  • Educational background in Psychology, Criminology or Education will be advantageous
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience working with children with Autism will be a huge advantage
  • Patient, have a positive attitude and be proactive
