Permanent Hybrid Social Worker position for a well-funded and developing local authority. Get in touch to hear about a great permanent position in Oxfordshire.Cases will be allocated by Practice Supervisors (PS) normally weekly, and will be discussed in supervision. This local authority uses a social practice model. Strength based practice is their main approach to make people as independent and less dependent on statutory services.The team has a buddy system in the team, and you will have a named PS but they have 5 PS’s in the team for SW and 3 for OT so there is constant support daily for queries and questions. All staff have mandatory training to complete in probation period and ongoing retraining for skills and development, some needs refreshing like safeguarding.Dependent on work loads, hybrid working will vary. It would be encouraged when you start to be more office based so that you can learn from colleagues and others, gain shadowing opportunities and allow you to understand the City patch area and the different patch areas and how these are for types of residents, deprivation areas, areas with good local links/ services etc.You will be expected to be in the office on days you would be on our duty desk dealing with emergencies and crisis work to gain support from the wider team in the office.The duty rota is completed monthly and you will be on approx. 2 – 3 days week.
