Salary: £42 ph (including holiday pay)

  • Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
  • Location: Didcot & Henley Family Solutions Plus Team, Oxfordshire
  • Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5 PM (4 PM finish on Fridays)
  • Office Days: Minimum 2 days per week (Thursday required, second day flexible)

About the Role:We are seeking experienced Social Workers to join Oxfordshire County Council’s Family Solutions Plus Team (FSP). This role involves providing professional social work support to children, young people, and families, ensuring their voices are heard while delivering high-quality interventions in line with relevant legislation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with families using a strengths-based approach and FSP Workbook modules
  • Complete assessments and reports for Child Protection Conferences & Court Proceedings
  • Attend multi-agency meetings, reviews, and court hearings
  • Ensure compliance with Children Acts 1989 & 2004, Working Together, and local safeguarding policies
  • Provide long-term case management and support for children in need, at risk, or in care
  • Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies
  • Keep accurate case records and meet performance targets

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Social Worker (must be registered with Social Work England)
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience, including statutory social work
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge & experience in long-term casework
  • Ability to assess risk, manage cases independently, and chair multi-agency meetings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
  • Must be able to travel across Oxfordshire as needed
