One to One Support Assistant - Summetown

Location: Summertown, Oxford

Pay: £76 - £90 per day

We are working with a great specialist school in Summertown who are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for students who struggle with social, emotional and mental health needs. As a one to one support assistant you will focus on empowering students to achieve their full potential through tailored educational experiences and emotional support.

As a One to One Support Assistant you be involved in the development of student's social skills, emotional regulation and academic engagement through the use of restorative practices, all in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Your roles and responsibilities as a One to One Support Assistant:

  • Provide individualised support to students, addressing their emotional, social, and educational needs.
  • Help model healthy coping strategies and social skills
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
  • Support students in developing social communication skills
  • Support and encourage emotional awareness
  • Monitor and document student feedback
  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring students are engaged and participating

The right One to One Support Assistant will have:

  • Educational background in Psychology, Criminology or Education will be advantageous
  • Strong communication skills
  • Patience, empathy and genuine passion for supporting children
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
