A supportive Primary School in Oxford is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for Year 5 students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs), Dyslexia, and Global Development Delay. SEN Teaching Assistant - Oxford | Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for Year 5 students with additional learning needs
- Assist with core subjects, ensuring children stay engaged and on track
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies
- Support social, emotional, and behavioural development in the classroom
- Adapt learning activities to suit the child's individual needs
- Encourage independence and confidence in learning
SEN Teaching Assistant - Oxford | Candidate Requirements
- Experience supporting SEN children (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, or related needs)
- Level 3 qualification OR relevant degree (preferred but not essential)
- GCSEs in Maths & English (C or above) required
- A patient, proactive, and resilient approach to SEN support
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
