A Primary School in Oxford are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team full-time from Monday - Friday starting ASAP.

The role will involve working under the guidance of the class teacher, and supporting the Oxford pupils academically and emotionally, to help improve their independence and life skills.

The Oxford children are dealing with a range of emotional and physical disabilities, ranging and not limited to low - high degrees of ASD, muteness, Autism, Dyslexia and motor issues.

The SEN Teaching Assistant in Oxford should be able to thrive under testing situations.

Key skills/requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS - currently holding a valid on the update service or be willing to undergo the process.
  • Pro-active demeanour, energetic, enthusiastic and caring approach to supporting the Slough based students.
  • Support on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with Autism or another with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs (SEMH).
  • A strong background in Maths and English is ideal for this role and the Primary school are ideally looking for someone with previous experience with SEN.

Suitable for University graduates, Pre-PGCE qualified students and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant.
