Job Title: Contract Specialist
Location: Oxford
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 p.a.
Type: Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid (3 days/week in the office)
We are seeking a Contract Specialist to manage contracts for goods, services, and financial agreements that support R&D, production, supply chain, and field maintenance. This role focuses on drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts to optimise value while ensuring compliance and effective stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee contracts from initiation to closure, including drafting, amending, and managing performance and expiration
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing to maximise contract value
- Ensure contracts meet company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards. Proactively assess and resolve risks
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet requirements and manage expectations
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships
- Enhance contract processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness
- Strong understanding of contract management processes with experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in drafting agreements and negotiating terms
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and skilled at producing technical reports
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing environments
- Confident communicator and negotiator at all levels
- Proven experience as a Contract Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory contract requirements
- Professional qualification, such as CIPS, is preferred
