Your new companyYou will be joining a growing biotech company in Oxfordshire focused on the next generation of medicines for cancer. They have a highly innovative approach and a dynamic, collaborative work environment. They have a supportive culture with plenty of flexibility for hybrid working and are looking to add an experienced contractor to their team to support their logistics and supply chain work from a commercial standpoint.Your new roleThis is a contract position, lasting up to 12 months, where you will be working with colleagues and external suppliers across multiple countries.The company has a hybrid working policy with an expectation of 2 days/week in the office.Main responsibilities will include:
- Develop and manage global commercial supply planning and scheduling for North America, Non-EU, and EU countries.
- Collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial teams to create efficient scheduling processes.
- Coordinate with service providers and contract manufacturing/external supply management.
- Implement and manage artwork and labelling processes to ensure global supply, quality, and compliance, working closely with CMC, QA and regulatory colleagues.
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators for supply chain management.
- Collaborate with IT to implement supply chain systems and tools.
- Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practices and relevant regulations.
- Support operational supplier relationship management, including monthly/quarterly reviews.
You'll also be involved in contributing to sections of regulatory submissions, eg BLAs, INDs, etc and writing various SOPsWhat you'll need to succeedAs well as strong communication and team-working skills, with an interest in problem solving, you should have:
- A strong track record of supply chain management for Pharmaceutical/Biological Products.
- Secondary packaging experience, including serialisation, and a good understanding of both GDP and the EU / FDA Falsified Medicines Directive.
- Broad experience in supply planning, procurement, and working with Contract Manufacturing/External Supply Management.
- Experience with late-stage/commercial pharmaceutical/biotech supply chains and starting up new supply chain organisations.
- Strong background with ERP/MRP/Supply Chain systems and tools.
- Excellent supply chain analysis skills and working knowledge of finance and budgeting
