Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Associate Director, Sustainability is a crucial leadership role responsible for driving forward our net zero and environmental ambitions. The postholder will be responsible for providing strategic direction to the University’s Sustainability Team delivering energy efficiency, biodiversity in addition to guidance on sustainable construction and retrofit, travel policy and waste reduction initiatives.
We are seeking an exceptional leader with a proven track record in delivering sustainability initiatives across a comparable diverse and complex portfolio. The successful candidate will possess outstanding stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills and be results focused and customer-centric in approach. The role would suit strategic sustainability leaders who possess a strong understanding of best practice for delivering sustainability objectives across a diverse portfolio. Fostering relationships in a collegiate and collaborative manner is essential.
This is a unique strategic role that would offer a sustainability professional the chance to take a leadership role across a large-scale, diverse estate portfolio in a sector leading environment. The team currently encompasses twenty-two staff and we have ambitious plans for the future.
