Our client, a privately owned group whose main activities are in road transport, trailer manufacturing, vehicle and construction equipment sales and supportive services to the road transport industry, is seeking for a HGV Technician to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques and will work independently to maintain and repair DAF vehicles and components.
Role: HGV Technician
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Hours: alternating early/late shifts ; Week 1: 7:30- 16:00 /Week 2: 13:30-22:00
Location: Heathrow
Key responsibilities for HGV Technician:
- You'll be responsible for fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and for choosing the right repair techniques.
- You'll work independently to maintain and repair DAF vehicles and components.
- You'll carry out a range of inspections (MOT, tacho, etc.).
- You'll provide support and daily mentoring for less experienced technicians.
- You'll carry out final checks on work that has been completed.
Requirements of HGV Technician:
- A completed secondary vocational education.
- A broad vehicle-related technical knowledge, preferably of DAF products.
- An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
- Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry.
