Mid to Senior UI Developer (React, Next.js, Figma, Storybook)£50k to £70kOxford (Hybrid with ideally 1 or 2 days in the office per week)
Avanti Recruitment is partnering exclusively with an exciting Oxford Uni spin off to hire a talented UI Developer with 4 to 7+ years’ experience of web development, and strong experience of leading a project from a UI Dev perspective.
Experience with a design system like Figma / Storybook will be a good indicator of a suitable candidate, a talented front end dev with experience of collaborating closely with a senior or lead UX Designer and a small team of full stack developers in a node.js, postgres, aws, typescript stack / environment.This will suit a solid JavaScript Developer.
Excellent communication skills are key for this role as a JavaScript Developer, with a great eye for design and some passion for good UX. Other skills that would make someone suitable;
- At least two years’ experience with React; knowledge of Next.js and Vercel preferable
- Experience of working with design systems; experience with Figma and Storybook would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of a wide range of browser APIs including state management.
- Experience of developing new web interfaces from scratch.
- Knowledge of common browser-based security risks and how to mitigate them.
- Experience of mentoring junior developers in all of the above.
- Keen to demonstrate their professionalism, experience and interest in web development
