My client, an innovative company at the cutting edge of electric motor technology in automotive, requires an experienced maintenance technician to join its team.

Responsibilities:

  • Repairing faults as the first port of call for machine breakdowns.
  • Providing technical support to achieve production output standards.
  • Planning and executing pro-active preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
  • Working from mechanical, schematics drawings to assist with fault-finding.
  • Advising on technical issues, whilst liaising with engineers and the production team as well as supporting continuous improvement activities.
  • Monitoring machine performance.

Requirements:

  • To be qualified to 17th Edition level or equivalent, with a good knowledge of fault finding and repair in electrical and mechanical
  • Proven previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Technician
  • Proven experience with PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as robotics
  • To be IT literate and to be able to navigate systems easily
  • To be organised and self-motivated with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems
