My client, an innovative company at the cutting edge of electric motor technology in automotive, requires an experienced maintenance technician to join its team.
Responsibilities:
- Repairing faults as the first port of call for machine breakdowns.
- Providing technical support to achieve production output standards.
- Planning and executing pro-active preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
- Working from mechanical, schematics drawings to assist with fault-finding.
- Advising on technical issues, whilst liaising with engineers and the production team as well as supporting continuous improvement activities.
- Monitoring machine performance.
Requirements:
- To be qualified to 17th Edition level or equivalent, with a good knowledge of fault finding and repair in electrical and mechanical
- Proven previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Technician
- Proven experience with PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as robotics
- To be IT literate and to be able to navigate systems easily
- To be organised and self-motivated with a safety awareness of electrical, compressed air and pressurised systems
