We are seeking a dedicated Specialist Teaching Assistant to provide comprehensive support to students both onsite and offsite at a speech and langue partner colleges. This role involves assisting in the delivery and access to the curriculum, managing student transportation, and supporting extended curriculum activities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide support to students in lessons onsite and offsite at partner colleges.
  • Take responsibility for supporting students offsite, including transportation and supervision.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining conducive learning environments.
  • Support the use of specialist teaching and learning systems.
  • Provide access arrangements for examinations and help students achieve their individual termly targets and EHCP outcomes.
  • Lead and support extra-curricular activities, including excursions and clubs.
  • Manage and prioritize workload under the supervision of the Learning Support Team Leader.
  • Work collaboratively within the team of Specialist Teaching Assistants and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
  • Maintain confidentiality concerning all school and college information.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience of working in a team and willingness to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Basic IT skills including MS Office, email, and internet.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise own workload.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to handle potential conflicts and provide solutions.
  • Physical fitness to carry out the duties of the role.
  • Desirable: Experience with SEN students, ability to drive, and knowledge of specialist strategies to support student learning.
