Payroll Administrator

  • Job Type: Part-time (15 hours per week- flexible on how these hours are worked)
  • Location: Office-based in Oxted, Surrey.
  • Contract Duration: 6 months
  • Salary: £15.38 per hour PAYE or £18.50 per hour via an umbrella company.

We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis for a 6-month contract. This role is crucial in assisting our Payroll Manager with admin duties whilst the implementation of a new payroll system is happening. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Sage 50 Payroll and will be instrumental in managing payroll administration tasks, including handling starters and leavers.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist the payroll manager with payroll administration whilst she concentrates on the implementation of a new payroll and HR system.
  • Manage payroll processing tasks for starters and leavers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely processing of payroll adjustments.
  • Provide administrative support for various payroll functions.
  • Collaborate with the HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in payroll administration, specifically with Sage 50 Payroll.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, including handling starters and leavers.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexibly within the allocated 15 hours per week (sometime extra hours when payroll is being processed monthly).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
