Role Overview:
We are looking for a Quality Manager with experience managing a small team or someone ready to take a step up into this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report on the Quality Management System (QMS) performance.
- Work with managers and staff to ensure the QMS and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) are effective and meet legal and industry standards.
- Lead the food safety team, organise training, and manage competencies.
- Prepare for and conduct internal audits for ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMP, etc.
- Oversee supplier management and maintain raw material specifications.
- Manage customer quality issues, including complaints and corrective actions.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for risk management and support sustainability initiatives.
- Work with the Health & Safety consultant on audits, risk assessments, and incident analysis.
Skills & Experience:
- Background in quality or compliance within food science or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, BRC, and Kosher standards.
- Experience in internal or supplier auditing, HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in IT and document management.
- Degree in Food Science or related field; Level 3 in HACCP, Food Safety & Hygiene.
