Reach FLT Driver

My client a well established manufacturing and distribution company is currently seeking a skilled Reach FLT driver to join their warehouse team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, and transport products within the busy warehouse. This role requires strong communication skills and a solid understanding of mechanical operations to ensure the safe and efficient handling of goods.

The working hours are 12 hour days 6am-6pm on a rota basis.

Duties

• Operate Reach FLT and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper placement and secure handling.
• Move materials to designated areas within the warehouse, adhering to safety protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following all health and safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors.
• Valid Reach forklift certification is required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
