Butcher

We a family run business based in Paignton, specialising in high-quality meat products. We are currently seeking a skilled Night Butcher to cut and prepare meats for our customers. This role is essential in ensuring our food production unit remains clean, organised, and running smoothly.

Responsibilities Include:

• Cutting and preparing different types of meat including beef, pork and poultry according to customer requirements and specifications.
• Ensure the freshness and quality of meat products by inspecting them for any signs of spoilage or damage.
• Cleaning and sanitising work areas and equipment
• Picking and Packing meat products with care and precision
• Assisting with other tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Physical Fitness:Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move heavy items and perform repetitive tasks.
• Previous Experience:Previous proven experience in a similar position. 2 Years (preferred)
• Knowledge:Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and the ability to prepare them accurately and efficiently.
• Knife Skills:exceptional knife skills and the ability to use a variety of cutting and grinding equipment safely.
• Flexibility:flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Communication Skills:Strong communication and task management skills.
