£60,000 - £65,000 per annum plus bonus

Permanent role with hybrid working option

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00am – 17:00pmHawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Head of Finance for our manufacturing client based in Paignton.

The Role

Reporting to the MD and the Group CFO.

The successful candidate will be providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the company’s financial commitments are met as well as developing all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the company’s business.

You will have 1 direct report

Responsibilities

• Professional and personnel management of Finance and Controlling
• Management of financial accounting in accordance with statutory and internal group regulations
• Preparation and coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Management of external auditor relationship and ensuring the organizations are complaint with accounting standards
• Securing the group reporting
• To lead on the budgeting and to oversee forecasts and to present these budgets and reviews to management and group
• Preparation of medium-term and annual planning
• Supporting development of financial strategies, including establishing and analysing key performance KPI’s
• Recognition and elimination of risks (exchange rates, interest rates etc)
• Securing resources (insurance, storage locations etc)
• Operational and financial advice to management
• Continuation and expansion of controlling
• Process responsibility for finance and controlling
• Employee management, appraisal and promotion
• Implementation of the corporate strategy in the subordinate area
• Processing of insurance claims in cooperation with group
• Overseeing commercial decision making from tender analysis, margin analysis

pricing analysis etc

• Accounting processes: security, completeness and general improvements

About you

• Proven years’ experience in (industrial) accounting
• Fully qualified; ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/ICAEW
• Good commercial and business awareness
• Problem solving and management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Be able to deal with conflicts
• Attention to detail
• Competent with the use of MS Office and ERP experience
