Vacancy: Joinery Estimator
Location: Paignton, Devon
Salary: £30k-£40k DOE
JHP Recruitment are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Joinery Estimator to work with our manufacturing and construction client based in Paignton on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will have proven experience in preparing detailed quotes for the design, manufacture, and installation of cabinets, lockers, wardrobes and shelving for a range of commercial customers.
Main Accountabilities:
- Communicate with customers, project managers, and other pre-construction teams to fully understand requirements
- Use 2D CAM software to create accurate and detailed drawings to ensure suitability and feasibility of design and positioning of installations according to customer floor plans
- Create detailed quotes for customers, including materials and labour costs
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to achieve top quality outcomes
- Communicate with and support customers throughout the project, providing feedback to all teams involved at all aspects of the project
- Provide accurate financial updates and reports to ensure project profitability
Skills required:
- Experience creating 2D CAM floor plans and drawings
- Strong knowledge of joinery processes, materials, and techniques
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and work to deadlines effectively
