CAD Engineer - Manufacturing/Engineering - Torbay- LM1195

Job Outline:

My client who is an award-winning designer, and manufacturer of specialist products for the automotive, aerospace, defence and nuclear industry, is now seeking an additional CAD/ Design Engineer.

On a daily basis you will be developing detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks software.

Within the role you will be leading engineering/design projects by preparing designs and documentation for new projects, liaising with customers, and maintaining excellent communication between all members of the key departments.

In addition to this you will ensure all necessary files and records are maintained accurately in a PDM system, and review and comment on process control documentation produced by other departments

You will also work closely with other team members, including engineers and manufacturing personnel, to address developmental design issues and help to smoothly transfer projects in development into production by supporting documentation activities.

Working on a project/design level you will work on all aspects of the design from conception to completion.

Within the role you will be expected to provide designs and solutions to a variety of mechanical projects.

The successful candidate will have experience in using SolidWorks design software.

It is expected that you will have excellent communication skills that will be needed when reviewing client requirements and working with multiple departments within the business.

This is a hands-on role, suitable for candidates who has a proactive approach to solving engineering challenges.

Experience:

Candidates will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
