Our client, a renowned Higher Education establishment located in Paisley, is seeking ExamInvigilators to support their current exam diet. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute tothe smooth running of exams in a professional and respected academic environment.
  • Start date: 9th December
  • End date: 19th December
  • Shifts: 09:00-14:00 approximately
  • Pay: £12.00–£12.43 – dependent on role
Your Role and Responsibilities:
  • As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of the examination process. Under the supervision of the University Registry staff, your responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining the confidentiality and security of examination materials.
  • Assisting senior University Registry staff in the organisation and smooth operation of exams.
  • Collecting and delivering examination papers and materials to and from the allocated venues.
  • Distributing examination materials and reading instructions to students.
  • Supervising the examination environment, ensuring compliance with university regulations.
  • Observing and supporting students to uphold a calm and focused atmosphere during exams.
Key skills:
  • A solid educational background and supervisory experience.
  • Previous exam invigilation experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • A professional attitude with a positive, proactive approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with staff and students respectfully.
  • The ability to remain calm and confident when faced with unexpected challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail, observational skills, and organisational abilities.
  • The capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of examination matters.
