Job Summary
Total Recruitmentare seeking a skilled and reliable 7.5tonne Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving.
Responsibilities
- Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during transportation and handling of goods.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Ability to operate various types of lorries, particularly flatbed vehicles.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
