Reed is on the lookout for a Senior HR Officer for a renowned charity dedicated to providing specialised support for complex health conditions. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a mission that changes lives.

The role of HR Officer is the cornerstone of ensuring operational excellence both in the physical and virtual realms of the organisation. You will spearhead strategies across HR, health and safety, IT, data management, and office administration. Your contributions will be vital in supporting the organisation’s expansion and enhancing its profound impact on families.

The day-to-day responsibilities of the role are:

  • Developing and revising HR policies in accordance with legislation, providing clear communication to staff.
  • Offering HR guidance to managers and colleagues to ensure compliance.
  • Managing activities related to the employee lifecycle, including planning, recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Overseeing DBS and PVG requests.
  • Coordinating Learning & Development initiatives and training managers on HR topics.
  • Promoting employee wellbeing through wellness initiatives and oversee occupational health issues.
  • Using research and data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
  • Supporting the Senior Leadership Team with change projects and consultations.
  • Creating and maintaining various HR documentation, including reports and guides.

To Succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in HR and administration within a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of HR processes and familiarity with HR Software.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work from the national office in Paisley for a minimum of three full days each week.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to various locations in Scotland for meetings.
