Role: Solicitor
Duration: 12 month FTC
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Location: Glasgow
My client is an innovative project R&D focused organisation with a number of leading-edge technology centres spread across the UK. They work collaboratively with partners across a range of diverse markets in the UK and around the world, driving their innovations forward and helping them to reduce the risk and cost associated with product development.
They are currently looking for a qualified solicitor to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role holder will have at least 1 year PQE (ideally 2) in internal counsel or practice and will assist the Group General Counsel with a combination of commercial work and employment style support.
The Role
· Review commercial contracts and related queries across the organisation.
· Contribute to the review and standardisation of business terms across the organisation.
· Drafting from precedents or, with General Counsel’s support, free drafting a variety of legal and commercial documents, including NDAs, contracts, terms and lock ups.
· Research into legal issues as and when needed.
· Build close relations with business and executive teams.
· Assist with wider business projects as they arise.
The Person
· Qualified solicitor with at least or 1 year PQE (ideally 2).
· Background in internal counsel or practice, ideally aligned to a combination of commercial work (NDAs, contracts, terms, lock ups etc) and employment style support.
