Due to our clients continued growth,SRS Partnershipare recruiting for an experienced Sourcing Specialist to add to the existing Procurement Team where you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the companies sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and mentor junior team members.

You will report directly to the Procurement Director and will work collaboratively within the broader Operational departments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough market research to identify and qualify the best suppliers for business needs.
  • Initiate contact with potential suppliers, gather relevant information, and negotiate optimal pricing and lead times.
  • Effectively source and plan quotation responses in collaboration with the Sales team, ensuring customer requirements are met.
  • Compile, input, and review purchasing data within ERP and other systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain a well-organized database of approved suppliers and cultivate strong, commercially beneficial supplier relationships.
  • Monitor and report on product performance and purchasing activity, providing valuable insights for strategic decision making.
  • Provide hands-on mentorship to junior colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team

To be considered for this role you must have proven experience in a sourcing role, with an in-depth knowledge of procurement processes, whole life costing, lead times, and repair cycles.

Understanding technical drawings and having some project management experience would be preferred.
