Reed Construction is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position in the Linwood/Paisley area.
The role offers a salary between £45K and £50K, with working hours from Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 3pm.
Key responsibilities include monitoring project costs, client meetings, and managing subcontractor applications, along with preparing financial documentation and ensuring budget compliance.
Candidates must hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and have at least 5 years of experience in a QS or Commercial Lead role.
Experience in construction sectors such as fit outs and general joinery is required, along with a valid driving license.

Reed Construction are working alongside our client who are looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be based in the Linwood/Paisley area.

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 3pm

Salary: £45K – £50K

Daily Duties –

Monitor project costs and reporting on comparatives
Meeting regularly with clients to review commercial matters
Assessment and agreement of sub-contractor and supplier applications
Prepare and submit interim applications, site record sheets, variations and final accounts
Adhere to all tender and construction budgets to ensure compliance to agreed margins
Monthly CVR reporting internally to Commercial Director
Knowledge and Interpretation of Contract Law and review of JCT/NEC contracts
Deal with contract disputes, resolutions, claims, and mitigating the impact of any issues should they arise

Candidate Requirements –

A degree or recognised equivalent in Quantity Surveying or similar
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a QS or Commercial Lead role
Experience within construction e.g. fit outs, suspended ceilings, structural framing systems, and general joinery
Driving Licence
