GENERAL OPERATIVE

Gi Group is recruiting for General Gut Room Operatives based in the Bristol area.

Hourly Rate -
Grade 1 - 13.70 per hour - overtime up to 24.66 - Bonus 10 per day
Grade 2 - 14.00 per hour - overtime up to 25.20 - Bonus 17.50 per day
Grade 3 - 15.50 per hour - overtime up to 27.27 - Bonus 32.50 per day

Hours of work - 6.30am-5.30pm. 4 out of 7 days (Mon-Fri)
Hours per week - 41.5
Days of work - Monday - Friday
Location - Westerleigh, Bristol
Length of Contract - Temporary to Permanent
Overtime available at 19.18 per hour

PPE provided

Own transport is required due to the remote location of the site.

Duties as a Production Operative:
- Harvesting, processing and distribution of natural casings, meat products and pharmaceutical products
- Cleaning and stripping down offal into different animal by-product categories
- Labelling products for correct placement
- Maintain clean working practices to prevent slips and trips and avoid cross-contamination
- You will work as part of a team

The ideal Production Operative will:
The ideal candidate requires a strong stomach as you will be dealing with large quantities of manure as well as preparing animal stomachs, spleens and intestines.

Being confident in using a knife is a key priority in this role.

Previous experience is desirable (but not essential as full training will be provided).
