Staffline have a great opportunity for a Waste Yard Operative to join our client based in Westerleigh.
Fantastic opportunity to work as a Waste Yard Operative for our client's busy distribution center.
The rate of pay is £14.81 per hour.
This is a full-time role working fixed shifts, Monday to Friday, the hours of work are:
- 5am to 1:30pm
*Candidates must have their own transport, due to the working hours and the site location*
Your Time at Work
As a Waste Yard Operative, your duties will include:
- Carrying out all deep cleaning requirements within the relevant working area
- Loading and unloading/tipping dolavs of material and using the waste compactor
- Be responsible for using and operating all tools and equipment to prescribed training standards
- Effectively carry out day-to-day hygiene operations
- Moving various different goods using Counterbalance forklift. Experience not required as you will receive inhouse training and licenses.
- Stacking and loading boxes
- Following Health and Safety on site
- General housekeeping
- Working as part of a larger team to meet customer requirements
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will be happy to work in a food processing environment, where you will be required to handle raw meat and work around blood in certain areas of the site.
You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while standing for the duration of your shift. You'll also be confident with lifting products that weigh up to 25kg regularly.
Maintain clean working practices to prevent slips and trips and avoid cross-contamination.
