As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and optimisation of mechanical systems. Performing fault diagnosis as well as routine maintenance on plant equipment. Your expertise will ensure the reliability and efficiency of our operations, contributing to our mission of delivering clean and reliable energy.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing fault diagnosis and routine maintenance on complex plant and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement improvements, achieve maintenance targets and upgrades
  • Scheduled work using the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Deliver maintenance strategies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the power generation or heavy industry sector.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, turbines, and compressors.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
