We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Warehouse Operative to join their Operations Department. This role involves progressing all shipment requests to ensure the on-time dispatch of finished goods, receipt of goods inwards, and compliance with legal requirements for dispatch. The successful candidate will report to the Warehouse Supervisor or Factory Manager and will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and integrity of warehouse operations.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Efficiently picking and packing products ready for dispatch to customers.
  • Labelling products, packages, and samples for both incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Booking and sampling of Goods in, including weight and quantity verification to ensure supplier integrity.
  • Operating the Forklift safely and loading/unloading vehicles as required.
  • Conducting weekly inventory counts and regular racking safety checks.
  • Demonstrating good behaviour and attitude, and displaying competency in carrying out required activities in the factory/warehouse.
  • Participating in all activities within the warehouse to ensure smooth operations, including attending daily production meetings in the absence of the Warehouse Team Leader.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a warehouse or factory setting.
  • Competency in using warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to take on ad hoc tasks as guided by the Department Manager.
