We are pleased to be able to offer an Industrial Cleaning role with our long-standing client who is based between Peebles and Penicuik.

Our client is a family run business and is one of the largest suppliers of eggs, having been in business since 1959.

Our successful candidate will need to be able to work 5 days out of 7, so weekend availability is crucial for this role.

Due to the remote location, your own transport would be required.

Key responsibilities:

1. Clean all fixed and moveable equipment in the TRAY WASH ROOM

2. Clean all TRAYS, PALLETS and DIVIDERS in the TRAY WASH ROOM

3. Report defects to your manager which needs maintenance

4. Report issues to your manager that may impact upon the integrity of the clean

5. Complete all cleaning records accurately and timely

6. Operate POWER WASHER and TRAY WASHERS

7. Ensure all cleaning tasks carried out in accordance with Cleaning Instruction Cards

8. Achieve required output and standards of hygiene within defined time

9. Work in a safe hygienic manner

10. Follow instruction

11. Ensure the safe use of chemicals

12. Ensure waste is correctly disposed in accordance with company procedures

13. Maintain effective and positive communication with colleagues, team leaders and managers

14. Adopt and demonstrate Clean As You Go within your work

15. Participate in mandatory site training relating to chemical awareness, H&S and Food Hygiene

16. Carry out other reasonable duties within the context of the companys operational requirements

Skills & Knowledge required:

Manual work requiring physical energy and capability

Ability to reach, bend stoop and kneel

Excellent attention to detail and cleaning to a high standard

Ability to multi tasks and prioritise

Ability to work as part of a team

Personal Attributes required:

Ability to use own initiative and carry out duties in a timely manner
