On offer is the opportunity to join an industry-leading builders merchants, supplying a comprehensive range of materials to the construction and engineering industries for the past 9 decades. After acquiring 20 additional merchant brands, this company is looking to continue expanding their materials range and customer base.

In this role you will become a fundamental asset to the company. You will be in charge of the branch's day to day activities, with involvement in all operating processes and procedures. You will facilitate sales and ensure operations run smoothly, while identifying opportunities with new clients and markets.

The Role:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service and outreaching to new clients
  • Managing the branch's day to day activities including staff, operations, stock and sales processes
  • Identifying opportunities with new clients and markets, working towards an improved customer base
  • Supporting the civils commercial manager in identifying where changes and improvements can be made to processes and opportunities
  • Oversee health and safety within the branch, ensuring compliance of procedures, particularly in the yard
  • Ensuring staff training and development goals are met
  • Identifying and recommending profit improvement plans, maximising financial results for sales and return on capital
  • Monday to Friday between 7.30-4.30pm, no weekends

The Person:

  • Sales experience within builders merchants or wholesalers
