Are you a keen and enthusiastic individual looking for an exciting opportunity in the manufacturing industry? Our client, a world-leading organisation based in Barry, is seeking a motivated Associate Packaging Operator to join their team. This is a temporary ongoing position on a shift pattern which includes 12 hour day and night shifts on a rotational basis, offering a competitive hourly rate starting from 11.44 per hour plus a weekly shift allowance payment of 178.85, equating to a weekly pay of 622.15 before deductions.
As an Associate Packaging Operator, you will have the opportunity to work on highly advanced machinery used to pack drums and IBC's. Your responsibilities will include packaging drums and IBCs, loading trailers with containers, liaising with other operators to maximise output, and completing SAP computer transactions. You will also have the chance to operate forklift trucks, as training can be provided for candidates without a licence.
Our client values your growth and development, and will provide you with the necessary training on the high-tech machinery and equipment. While experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous, it is not essential. However, good IT skills are essential for this position.
In addition to your main duties, you will have additional responsibilities, which include operating assigned equipment, monitoring process conditions, and performing scheduled operational tasks. Furthermore, you will collaborate with your shift team to efficiently anticipate and resolve unplanned events, ensuring the safe and optimal operation of the filling line.
Please note that this role does involve heavy lifting. To be considered, you must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, or equivalent, preferably in Maths, English, and Science.
To ensure a safe working environment for all employees, successful candidates will be required to undergo a DBS criminal record check and a medical assessment, with all associated costs covered by the employer.
If you are ready to embark on an exciting journey in the manufacturing industry and contribute to a world-leading organisation, we encourage you to apply without delay. Please note that due to anticipated high levels of interest, our client reserves the right to close this advert early should they receive a suitable number of applicants.
