About the Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join their in-house engineering design consultancy. You will be responsible for the technical delivery of a small portfolio of projects or sections of larger projects, reporting to a Senior Project Engineer. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop and showcase your expertise in civil engineering design across multiple sectors.

About Our Client:

Our client is a well-established and growing in-house engineering consultancy, providing expertise to a range of operating units. They have a strong presence in the water, heavy industrial, power, and design & build industries, working on innovative and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical:

Apply sound engineering principles to design and problem-solving.

Prepare outline & detailed designs in accordance with relevant standards.

Produce clear and structured design calculations, reports, and drawings.

Utilise BIM-led design tools such as STAAD Pro, FEM Analysis, and Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis.

Project Management:

Plan and implement projects effectively.

Manage resources, timelines, and costs to ensure project success.

Control project budgets and understand commercial frameworks.

Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and HSE regulations.

People Management:

Mentor and train Engineers, Graduate Engineers, and Technicians.

Coordinate team activities for timely project delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with clients, contractors, and supply chain partners.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

What Our Client is Looking For:

Essential:

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Experience applying Eurocodes and UK Industry Codes of Practice.

Willingness to travel for short-term assignments.

Ability to attend site visits and provide buildable solutions within tight deadlines.

UK/EEC driving licence.

Desired:

Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (or working towards).

Strong technical design experience on multi-disciplinary projects.
