Caldicott

  • £35,000 – 43,000
  • Hybrid working policy 2/3 days from home

The Company

Established for over 100 years, my client is a market leader in the supply of process engineering systems to a variety of sectors such as Marine, Water, Energy, Food, Beverage, O&G, Renewables and many more.

This multi-million-pound manufacturing business has gone from strength to strength, having been acquired by a well-regarded and lucrative business over recent years, they now form part of a global brand and are able to offer clients more variety of product and services.

Due to expansion, and with a view to begin succession planning within the department, an Electrical Design Engineer is now required to join the team.

The Role

The systems they manufacture on this site are bespoke standalone, water treatment systems which are incorporated into larger systems including pipework, blowers, control systems and tanks and installed onto the end clients’ sites.

The Electrical Design Engineer will work closely with the senior electrical engineers in team supporting projects with creating all the electrical drawings required for projects, this will involve:

  • Using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical to produce all electrical drawings required for projects
  • Creating single line diagrams, electrical connection drawings and cable layouts.
  • Formatting electrical drawings to meet company standards.
  • Ensuring all electrical components are tagged and labelled correctly in the companies CAD systems.
  • Liaising with external suppliers for any external electrical drawings required for projects.
  • Ensuring bought out electrical items are tagged correctly and identifiable in the system.
  • Pulling together bill of material for electrical components for projects
  • The role has the potential in the medium to long term to develop into a full electrical engineer role where you will be involved in conceptual design and electrical calculations for designing systems.

  • Previous experience working within an Electrical Design Engineer role
