Materials & Distribution Officer

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 09:00 - 17:00

Reed Recruitment is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Materials & Distribution Officer on behalf of our esteemed client based in Penicuik. This full-time role is essential to the warehouse function of the organisation that distributes its products globally. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including material reception, stock distribution, and dispatch, all while upholding Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Accurately receipt and book various materials into the inventory management system.
  • Prepare, pack, and dispatch shipments for goods manufactured onsite, adhering to GDP & GMP principles in line with customer requirements.
  • Efficiently distribute materials to internal customers, ensuring TROPOS inventory levels are accurately maintained.
  • Conduct material management duties, including stock checking, replenishment, and material discard.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements, Health & Safety policies, and GMP principles.
  • Engage in ongoing training and maintain an accurate personal training record.
  • Keep precise records for all work carried out, updating company record systems in compliance with GMP and GDP.
  • Carry out additional duties as reasonably requested by the Company.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Package (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Understanding of Inventory Management Systems, with TROPOS experience being advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in confirmatory checking of peers’ work.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Desirable:

  • Experience in GMP, GDP, or a warehousing environment.
  • Driving/Forklift License.
  • SharePoint Experience.
  • SOP/Material Specification experience.
