Learning Disabilities Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Disability Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care in a residential setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide person-centred care to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
• Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Build trusting relationships with residents, helping them to reach their full potential.
• Support residents in managing challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies.
• Facilitate social activities and encourage community involvement to enhance resident's quality of life.
• Work collaboratively with health care professionals, families, and other team members to ensure the best care outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning, following all health and social care standards.

Requirements:

• Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities
• A compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A commitment to providing high-quality care in line with safeguarding policies.
