Our client is a successful group business based in Penrith. They boast an interesting portfolio of companies and are well known in the local area as an employer of choice.
They are looking to recruit a talented qualified accountant to join their team.
Your new role
This pivotal, newly created role will report to the Finance Director on-site and will be responsible for preparation, development and analysis of key financial information to enable key decision-making to ensure future stability, growth and profitability of the Group businesses.
Duties will include:

Preparation and analysis of Group monthly management accounts
Reporting to management/proprietor on issues arising out of accounts
Involvement in budgeting and forecasting process
Balance sheet and cash flow forecast modelling
Review of new and existing client contracts and proposals
Finance-based project work including involvement in M&A activities
Ad hoc work relating to the financial aspects of the businesses

This role is ideal for a first / second time mover from Accountancy practice.

What you'll need to succeed
Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
Strong commercial acumen
Excellent communicator
Willingness to travel to other sites
