We are seeking a skilled and reliable concrete repairs operative to join our team on a vital ongoing bridge repair project over the M5 motorway in Penrith. This is a high-importance, long-term scheme that involves essential concrete repairs to ensure the safety and longevity of the bridge structure. The successful candidate will play a key role in the repair and restoration work, helping to maintain vital transport infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out concrete repairs, including surface preparation, crack injections, patch repairs, and resurfacing.
  • Work effectively within a team to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Follow safety procedures and work in accordance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control throughout the repair works.
  • Assist in the general upkeep and cleaning of the worksite.
  • Be proactive in reporting any issues or concerns to the site supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in concrete repair or similar construction work is essential.
  • Experience in bridge repair or maintenance is desirable but not essential.
  • A valid CSCS card is essential.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to work safely in a busy construction environment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in challenging conditions, as the job will involve work on the bridge structure.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.
